Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
CIHS is a Title I school for students who have recently immigrated to the United States and are multilingual learners. Many of our students are struggling readers and are working to build their decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension skills in both their native languages and in English.
This project is designed to help students to develop their language, literacy, and numeracy skills at school and at home.
By making these high-interest, diverse, and accessible books available to students, they will be able to develop their language, literacy, and numeracy skills through independent reading.
