This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My transitional kindergarten students bring energy and joy to our classroom daily.

They enter the room bouncing and skipping, ready to embrace the day.

They are bright and curious and look forward to each new classroom experience. These young cherubs are thinkers, creators, problem solvers, and collaborators. I want to bring rich experiences and tap into their insatiable appetite and natural curiosity to learn. Providing them access to collaborative and innovative hands-on and heads-on learning in an exciting and motivating way while opening doors to the magic of school experience is essential.

What better way to help build a caring community than by creating an environment of choice, empathy, and respect for one another than through a comfortable and rich learning environment with options.

I want to give them opportunities and tools that will help them as they continue to grow and learn.

My Project

With cubbies, I will be able to teach my students to become more independent and responsible for their own belongings. It will help them learn organizational skills as well because they will be in charge of their own cubby. As much as I would love for all of my students to have clean, organized desks it has been brought to my attention that with some students, that is a daunting task. With students with autism, it is important to teach them organizational skills such as utilizing cubbies as "mailboxes." It will also help them to be responsible and organized in all other areas of learning.

By funding this request you will have a long lasting impact on students for years to come.

In addition to them learning how to take better care of their materials and possessions it will help to keep my classroom more organized. By having a classroom setup that is organized and carefully categorized it allows more time for effective and quality educational instruction. Thank you in advance for your generous donation!
