We Need Computers to Learn After School Hours

Help me give my students access to computers so they can complete day-to-day normal tasks beyond the normal school hours.

My Project

More than 90% of my students are eligible for free or reduced lunch. Over 75% do not have access to reliable computers or laptops to continue learning and participating in educational opportunities outside the classroom. Despite these barriers, they continue to do all they can using their phones. Having a laptop will greatly afford them the opportunity to actively participate in coding and programming activities such as AI, python, app development and a host of other programs they are locked out of just because of their socioeconomic status. These students are involved in First Robotics (FTC and FLL) competitions; Connecticut Invention Convention competitions, Connecticut Science and Engineering Fairs; and many more events even though they have limited access to technology that will allow them to attain to their maximum potential.
