This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Being in the classroom gives me energy. It's wonderful to be helping young people develop their talents and to see them getting engaged and wrestling with the subject matter. That's very exciting to me. I strongly believe that I learn from them." -- Francisco Jimenez
Our fifth class is located at a school where 100% of the students qualify for free/reduced lunch.
Our class focuses on integrating science and technology into all subject matters. The students in our class have an enthusiasm and passion for learning.
My Project
Our class received a generous donation of a class set of iPads, but unfortunately they did not come with protective covers/cases. We use our iPads daily, in every subject. We want to make sure that the iPads stay protected for as long as possible. The cases will insure that the iPads will last for many years and have a positive educational impact for many students.
Most of our students do not have technology or internet at home.
The iPads help ensure that our students have the same technology access as other students. This access to technology helps to prepare students for college and their careers.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
