This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
First grade is a big year for learning how to read. My students are eager learners and are excited about all of the words they are learning how to read. Now we need books in the class to help them practice reading and to foster a love for reading through engaging texts.
A good book can turn a reluctant reader into an avid reader.
When students have fun and exciting literature to read, it helps to make reading more enjoyable. They will look forward to independent reading time and are more likely to share their reading with others.
I want this collection of books to jumpstart our class library so my students can practice and become lovers of books.
