Help me give my students the tools they need to be successful in 5th Grade Spanish Immersion. The dictionaries will help increase vocabulary and improve reading comprehension. The notebooks will help get organized and learn to take notes.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are learning the curriculum in Spanish and by 5th grade the vocabulary is very rigorous. Spanish dictionaries will help my students learn new vocabulary and look up definitions "the old fashion way". As useful as technology is, a dictionary provides a more specific description that students need when reading 5th grade Spanish texts.
We will use the highlighters and notebooks to organize our thoughts and take good notes while they are reading.
As the students prepare for middle school, we want to them to learn good study skills and study habits.
