This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Unfortunately, we cannot take our students all over the world to learn new things. However, we can bring life to them! The ELMO will help me do this. My students love to learn! Different visuals such as real life pictures and different materials will be able to be displayed with the ELMO.
We are a small school of about 250 students.
We are a Title I school where every student receives a free breakfast and a free or reduced lunch. Most of our students come from a caring and loving family but with economic hardships. Many of our students are English Language Learners. I have very caring third grade students who always think of others. They are very motivated to learn! They are eager to do well and work hard everyday! They really enjoy learning and would benefit from an ELMO a great deal!
My Project
My students are very eager to learn! Understanding the material I am presenting is very important. Everyday I teach students about all the wonderful things in our beautiful world. However, some 8 year old students have a difficult time really understanding the concept without a variety of visuals and tools to assist them. I want to be able to reach ALL students. An ELMO is a vital part in achieving this goal. Our classroom already has a projector. The only thing we need now is the ELMO to enhance the students' experience. We will be able to use the ELMO because we have all of the necessary tools within the classroom to do so.
Being able to reach all students is vital to every student in my class.
