Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from many neighborhoods in New York City, and from many backgrounds. They are African-American, West Indian, West African, Latino, Central American, Asian, and Eastern European, among other nationalities and cultures. They are also a diverse group in terms of learning issues and gender identity.
My students are striving for a better future through their education.
Most will be the first person in the family to attend college. My students can be positively transformed each day with highly engaging educational experiences.
My Project
When students come back to school full-time, we want to have a great wireless network in the classroom to support our class activities. This will really help students to get back into the great habits of sharing work together with partners and groups.
Teamwork will be a very big shared goal as we move forward to full, active classrooms and away from purely individual work.
Having a fully-functional wireless classroom set up and ready to go for students will be a very helpful and motivational support for our work together.
