My classroom is very diverse and my students attend school in an urban community.
My students come to school every day ready and eager to learn!
Despite any hardships they face at home, when they step into my classroom, their faces light up with anticipation of what the day has to offer.
My students love working in groups, listening to stories, and completing "hands-on" activities. They are very routine oriented and active learners. They are sponges and take in everything I teach them and apply it.
My Project
My students need a half moon table for individualized instruction!
This table would allow me to meet more easily with my guided reading and math groups.
It would also provide a space in my classroom for students to have a sense of privacy to concentrate and focus away from their classmates if needed.
A small group table would benefit my students so I can work more one on one with them to target skills they need help with. We engage in Daily 5, guided reading and math centers everyday. My classroom is missing a spot for small group instruction. This table would be the perfect for my students and my classroom!
