Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Children need to learn habits of mind and strategies to utilize when they are faced with challenging situations. In addition to social emotional books or videos that I will expose them to, I would l also like to create a calming station for my first graders.
The calming station will have an emotions tool box that will help my students match their feelings to a particular card and use steps to help them calm down, as well find the comfort of plushies and squeeze toys if they need it.
So please help me create little humans who can manage their feelings in healthier ways!
