Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is making progress is many areas, including adding more computers to our school. I use computers in my class as often as I can. The only thing we are missing is a printer and a screen to help us display and view some of the work the students are producing in class.
I teach a great group of high achieving third graders in the LA area.
Many of my students have learned English as a second language. While students have many opportunities to use computers to type up their reports, they have few opportunities to print what they produce. This is unfortunate because students love to see their published work once it has been printed. The screen will allow students to view projects in progress or ones that have been completed.
My Project
We desperately need a color printer and a projector screen in our classroom that will be up to the challenge of printing for our fourth grade class. This will allow us to print out work produced by the students and pictures that will display what we are learning in our classroom. We are in the beginning processes of doing great animal reports which the kids are really enjoying and they are going to love to print out their final projects. The projector screen will enable us to view completed projects on a screen instead of on the wall.
You can really help motivate students by allowing them to see their completed work typed up on the computer or shone to the class on a projector screen.
This will keep the students wanting to produce more work, because they will be able to see their finished product. Please help fund our new printer and screen.
