Help us print! Last year we were fortunate enough to get a new printer for our classroom, but it has stopped working!
I am the Art specialist in a K-5 Arts school.
We are located in one of the poorest rural areas of the state. Our families are plagued by poverty and high unemployment rates. I see about 975 students every week, from Kindergarten though grade five. All of the students receive free or reduced lunch. The student population is 95% Hispanic, 3% African American, 1% Caucasian, and 1% Asian. About 70% of the students in my room are learning English as a second language.
My Project
My students need a reliable Cannon Pixma IX6520 ink jet printer and a six pack of ink to print We are requesting a large format printer for our classroom. With a new printer we will be able to print out information to enhance our learning in the classroom and help us grow and become better artists! Unlike our current printer that has streaks and is limited to 8x11 size paper, this new printer can print up to 12x18. This size is perfect for example of artwork. Also, the color images will make it fun and more appealing for all the examples that we can view in class!
This donation will be a big part of our everyday classroom use!
We will be able to complete more projects and class work to help our minds grow! We will also be able to print out pictures and examples of large format artwork.
