it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every elementary classroom needs a good electric pencil sharpener, and my class is no exception. Every day, when my 29 second graders walk into the classroom, I usually have sharpened pencils ready for them. This year I purchased three electric sharpeners. Two of them were Bosten and the other was a Panasonic. None of them were durable, because they were not meant for the tremendous usage of a classroom of 29 second grade students and their motors burnt out. The sharpeners were also very noisy and took a long time to sharpen a pencil. I definitely could not teach whenever someone was using the sharpener and of course the other students were distracted too. I think my class would really benefit from a really strong commercial type sharpener. Those "wimpy" sharpeners are not long-lasting and are burning a hole in my pocket.
We need one really good sharpener to last through the year that is quiet when in use.
