My Project
Writing is one of the main activities that takes place in our classroom! In our reading class, scholars express their ideas and comprehension of stories we have read through writing exercises. Of course, that can be a difficult task with a handful of students asking for a pencil. Although I have spent a lot of my own money on writing materials, things happen, and sometimes items go missing or broken. A lot of my students admitted they needed pencils at home and that was why they took them. The unique pencils and fun desk pet erasers will ensure students have writing utensils to complete their independent work, while giving them something they will want to take special care of. The mini whiteboards with dry erasers and markers will serve as tools students can use at our reading and writing centers to practice their handwriting skills and sentence writing. We already have specially marked storage items to put these new materials in! These writing materials will engage students and have them take responsible ownership of their writing utensils.
