This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We love to bake in my classroom. We love trying new recipes and different combinations for cookies and cakes. We also love to decorate them at the end.

I teach high school culinary arts in the Bronx.

I have a wonderful group of students, many of whom are highly interested in making culinary arts a career. I even have my first student attending the Culinary Institute of America in the fall. I am so proud.

My Project

We love to bake and having the necessary supplies is tough at times. We have a small supply of mixers that are old and don't spin well. In order to make the high volume of things we do, we need our materials to work the best they can. A new mixer would allow us to do that and more!
