This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Times have changed technology surrounds our future. Education has changed and the way we teach has also changed.

I teach a third grade monolingual class.

Our school is located in a high-need, low income community where English is NOT the dominant language of most of our students. My students love, and I mean love technology. They have become more tech savvy. My students have economical challenges and many do not own computers at home. They enjoy new challenging task just to prove they can concur them. They will be taking the New York State Exams this year for the first time. I want to provide my students with the exposure and knowledge of technology.

My Project

The materials we are requesting is a 30 X 72 table and 6 chairs that will become our media center. We were recently very fortunate to have mini laptops funded by wonderful donors just like you. Now we need a central place where the laptops can be stationed through out the day. This table will allow the laptops to be accessible to the students all day. My students will be able to use the the computers in one place as they practice literacy and math concepts that have been taught. The technology motivates them to practice.

Your donations to this request will provide my students with a comfortable space that will give them the opportunity to use the laptops through out the day.
