This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach Pre-K children in a high need community. The children I teach are wonderful and are so eager to learn.
We currently have a plain dark red rug that is old and unappealing. It is low quality and pieces of it constantly come off which is a huge distraction to the children when I am trying to teach them on the rug.
This high quality rug will not only last a long time but can help in teaching the children the main concepts they learn in Pre-K: Colors, numbers, and the alphabet. This rug will brighten up the classroom and help the children learn academics as well.
Your help will ensure that my students can sit/nap on a quality rug, learn the colors, numbers, and alphabet, and make our room more appealing to the children. Please help fund this project! Thank you!
