My Students
Have you ever had to share a computer with four other students while trying to gather and analyze data? Hopefully not, but this situation is way too common in my classroom and that is why I am requesting a MacBook computer for my students.
I teach struggling, college-prep.
students from a largely Title I school (56.1%) located in beautiful Southern CA. My students are really motivated, curious and creative but few of them have the resources to pursue their interests in science completely. They love to use technology outside of the class room and it is my goal to provide them the ability to do so.
My Project
The MacBook computer I'm requesting will be used by my Physics and Biology students to take advantage of the amazing apps and lab simulations that are available for free that apply to High School Science. It will also allow them to work in smaller groups which will greatly affect their learning experience.
Your generous assistance will allow me to reach my students in ways that are currently unavailable.
This MacBook computer will greatly increase their access and enthusiasm for learning High School Science this year and for many years to come.
