I teach 3rd to 5th-grade gifted students at a beautiful school in Miami. The Microsoft Surface Pro Copilot tablet that I am requesting will provide my gifted students the opportunity to create projects online and save their hard work on a device that has sufficient space and memory.
They will use the tablet to research online, document, save, store, and take videos and pictures of their projects and portfolios.
Currently, I am providing business and money-sense mindfulness resources for my gifted students and have observed decreased levels of their "stress levels" (they are more relaxed) and increased productivity (in non-core subject activities) in the classroom.
My students will also use this Surface Pro to create and store presentations and information in their home language and present their business plan, with the goal that it will teach them community service skills while improving their writing and presentation skills which are very helpful and necessary.
Teaching students how to create informational presentations, brochures, and handouts organizes them, minimizes interruptions, keeps them on task, and gives them the information they need to be successful and maximize their creativity while helping their community in the process.
