My students need a color printer and ink in order to print color pictures for English language development and vocabulary.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Some of my students are visual learners and need a lot of pictures that relate to the vocabulary that is being taught. It is difficult to explain to them when I do not have a printer to make copies and also to differentiate instruction for my three students that mainstream in our classroom.
I have a classroom of 27 inquisitive learners.
They are learning to read and write in both English and Spanish. They need a lot of vocabulary when introducing lessons and pictures cards to implement our conversation skills. They enjoy science and learning about fossils and math. They also like to listen to stories and are very curious about the world around them.
Our school services students from preschool all the way to sixth grade. We are a big school with limited funding. The students in this community are lucky to have a music program, orchestra and art classes. All the students receive free breakfast and lunch.
My Project
The color printer will allow me to make color copies of pictures for the vocabulary that the students are learning. I can also differentiate instruction for my three students who mainstream in my class by making the font bigger when they need it. The wireless printer will also give my students access to print their certificates when they finish their starfall lessons, and this would encourage them to finish all the lessons. The students will be able to print their own projects and certificates and learn how to use the technology we have in our classroom. I can also print my own certificates for the students, my spelling words for the week and send newsletters to the parents.
The color printer will allow my students to have access to visuals during English Language Development.
It will improve the quality of black and white pictures and it is more engaging and colorful for the students. It will make life easier because I currently don't have a printer in the classroom and if I have to print I need to go downstairs and into the main building to get my black and white copy, and if I have to print I will lose instructional time every time I need to make a copy.
