My Students
My students consist of 12 Special ed students 8 boys and 4 girls. I am looking for tools in-order to build the strongest foundation possible for them. I have a variety of students who come from different backgrounds. Hispanic, Bengali, African American and Puerto Rican are just a few of my students' diverse backgrounds. My students come to school with an amazing attitude and excited to learn, however are often lacking the essential tools needed to have a successful learning experience. Their eagerness to learn is what drives me to create projects that I know will help them be successful in the future.
My Project
My students have been sitting on an old ripped and dirty area rug for a few years now. The rug has been cleaned multiple times however some stains just never come out. The rug is definitely showing sign of age and is thinning out in most areas where the students would sit We would like to have a new rug that we are proud of and love to sit on. An area rug that has lets is helpful for not only learning but organizing and placing students strategically. This rug will act as a new beginning and a place where the students can be excited to learn rather than distracted by all th stains and holes of their current rug.
