This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My Kindergarten-5th grade students with special needs are learning how to control their emotions and feelings. These materials will provide a space for my students to learn about their emotions, feelings and different calming techniques they can use to calm down and focus on learning.
My students need a safe place to calm down when they are feeling upset or overwhelmed!
I plan to use these materials to create a calming corner in my classroom to better meet the special needs of my students and create a safe learning environment.
