We Must Know Our History to Appreciate Our Future

Help me give my students a map rug, globe, history and social studies posters, daily mind builders, a color printer, copy paper, and dry erase whiteboard supplies to help them increase their knowledge about Social Studies/History.

My Project

I currently teach in a rural school district in a Northern County in Mississippi. Our area is affected by natural disasters such as tornadoes and ice storms. This causes our students and their families to be economically deprived and depressed. As educators, we are dedicated to providing our students with a comprehensive and engaging education. T

This is the first year that Social Studies/History is taught at our school, therefore, my class needs supplies and materials.

The requested supplies include: historical maps, a USA map rug, a globe, visual aids, a color printer, copy paper, dry erase markers and cleaning supplies.

Other items include pencils with pencil toppers to make doing homework and classwork exciting and fun, and a pencil sharpener to keep pencils sharpened to assist students with writing assignments and notes.

The plastic storage baskets and paper clips will help students keep assignments and projects organized. The board letters will help create a vivid atmosphere for students.

The Lysol disinfecting wipes will keep desk and computers sanitized for students. The nutritional and healthy snacks will be used as a reward and incentive for my students' hard work.

These materials will not only enrich the classroom experience, but also help my students develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the subjects that I teach.
