This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Sometimes you need a voice to be above all other voices: the needs of a growing chorus.

My students are like any other kids, however, they lack many opportunities many students have in public schools.

The music program we have created is a highlight for many students and has begun to show students that there are many positive things music can do in ones life and community.

My Project

Shure Microphones have stood the test of time as an industry standard for quality and in importance of a school DURABILITY. These microphones will be used to help soloists and duets be able to be heard over our growing chorus....We started at 25....... now we're approaching 200. This will allow students and audience to hear soloists and will give confidence in our soloists and inspire them to continue improving themselves as musicians and people. These microphones will be run through our school PA system.

This upgrade in equipment will allow our chorus to become a primer group not only in our city, but in our state.

Students will want the opportunity to solo because they thrive on the opportunity to show who they are with others. When students want to be soloists it improves the musicianship of the ensemble because they become more independent musicians.
