My Project
I am a K-2 Music teacher, and I see about 450 students in my classroom every single week. My students have a wide range of learning needs and disabilities, so I find that using a multisensory approach is the best way to reach all learners.
My primary school students love to make music and are excited about the opportunity to perform for their friends and family!
In this project, I am requesting resources to help each of my students learn to make music and perform musical and theatrical performances for their families and friends. Our school does not have any kind of working sound system, so my students need a bluetooth speaker, microphones, keyboard, and extra speakers. I am also requesting crafting supplies for the students to make their own percussion instruments to supplement the recorded sound tracks, as well as some "store-bought" instruments for them to play. I need a printer to print their music sheets and programs for their performances. Finally, I wanted to throw in a few music posters to help the students have visual aids to understand more complex musical concepts and to make the room more inviting.
