My Project

My students are curious and eager to learn. They are at just the right age to fall in love with reading and I love to encourage that love for books and reading by incorporating books into just about everything we do. Most of my students are learning English as a second language and enhancing the association between the written word and the printed word is extremely important. All of our preschool skills, math, prewriting, literacy, science, social emotional development, language, etc., can be found in books. Not to mention the impact books have on imagination, creativity, social skills and problem solving.

That being said, my book storage cabinet has fallen apart.

I am currently using wooden blocks to hold the shelves up. The 60" Morgan Storage Cabinet will allow me to house the many books that I use throughout the year and the Storex plastic book bins will allow me to organize them by thematic unit and content. I spend so much time trying to locate specific books that I know I want to use or finding books after the unit is over that I wish I had found when I needed them. This storage cabinet and the book bins will allow me to safely store and quickly locate specific books. This extra time will enable me to focus on increasing their learning by spending more time sharing amazing books with amazing students!
