My Pre-K scholars are amazing! They are the only full day class in our school. They are eager to learn and love being in school. Our school is very diverse and takes pride in welcoming and engaging all scholars and families. We are committed to creating a school where kids feel safe, loved, and motivated.
As a school, we take pride in creating an environment where we celebrate diversity, discuss and study racial equity, and "inspire all scholars to reach high levels of social and academic achievement and to become future leaders through a collaborative system of support" (our school's mission statement).
My Project
In Pre-K we do a lot of movement, singing, and love to play together. Our little bodies are not made to sit for very long. I would love to give my scholars comfortable and flexible seating choices throughout the day.
My scholars will especially enjoy getting to choose where they want to sit to color and write, listen to a story, or play with their friends.
My scholars can wobble and move on the stools. They can sit on a comfy circle on the floor. I know my scholars will also like the comfy floor seats.
My hope is to provide seating options that are calming and that my scholars will love. I am so excited to have a variety of choices for my little scholars to use to sit on. I know that it will make a difference in my classroom, we love to try new things in Pre-K!
