My Students
My students are so excited to learn. They are creative, full of enthusiasm and are not afraid to think outside the box. They love hands-on activities. They are having so much fun that they don't even realize how much they are learning. They are so excited when they master learning new letters, words, and reading a story on their own. Their little faces light up when they successfully solve equations, learn to count and identify numbers. Giving them the tools they need to love learning and be life long learners is my goal.
The pandemic has taken a toll on everyone.
My students are craving socializing with children and adults. They just want to share their stories and feel that their stories matter.
Their families struggle with food security, health care and having their basic needs met. Yet, my resilient students still manage to come to school each day, making the world a better place just by being themselves.
My Project
The alphabet bean bag will be a fun and engaging way for my students to practice their letter sounds, build numbers, and have fun while increasing their reading skills. The pop it letters and numbers will give my students hands on practice and will help them to better understand and practice their basic number facts and letters and letter sounds. Kindergarten students learn best when moving and interacting with each other. These hands-on materials are going to increase engagement and my help students learn, grow, and succeed in school and life. These important materials will ensure that ALL of my students get the individualized support they deserve. Students will utilize the letters, numbers, and other materials during reading groups and centers to help improve phonemic awareness. Overall helping them achieve their most important goal to learn to read.
