My students need geometric solids to practice drawing 3-D forms in art.

My Students

My students come to art class full of energy, ready to create, and excited to see what we will be doing that day.

I teach at a Title I school in Georgia where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast.

Our school serves students K-5 with a diverse ethnicity. I use STEAM projects to collaborate and reinforce common core standards with the arts. Differentiation within classes vary and require creativity and a variety of supplies to keep students engaged.

My Project

My students love to draw, however my class is always in need of supplies.I plan to secure the forms using velcro to boards and create mini still-life arrangements for students to draw. The forms will be very helpful in demonstrating shading while encouraging students to practice their mathematical shapes and forms. Something as simple as providing a visual aid helps the students to draw what they see not what they know.

I hope to provide the opportunity for each student to succeed while learning in an engaging activity.

In the end I want each student to feel good about their drawing and accurately draw each form. My special needs students will enjoy the visual aids and the color stixs will be easy to hold.
