This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students today are intrigued by technology. It is everywhere! My students love it no matter how it is incorporated into a lesson. They have a whole new excitement to learn when technology is in front of them!

I teach 20 sweet first graders in a low economic school district where technology is seriously outdated.

My students are eager to learn and love it even more when they can get their hands on technology. They would be so excited to learn with the addition of this IPad mini to our classroom.

My Project

With this Apple Ipad, my students will be able to read books, take comprehension AR test using the AR app, explore the use of QR codes in the class room, and use countless apps in all subject areas to enhance their learning and literacy. This Ipad will be able to be used in both reading and math stations, as well as create a listening station for our room. It will also help me as their teacher to have access to another means of technology to update the very outdated computers and technology systems in our classroom. It will also give students a way to experience today's updated technology, something they may never get to do outside of the school setting.

Our machines are slow and outdated. With the IPad mini my students can experience learning in a whole new way with updated technology! This IPad will also help to complete a technology station, where no matter what literacy app they are working on, there will be enough for every student to have some type of updated machine of their own.
