My 2nd and 3rd-grade students cannot seem to put down the books they are reading. They have flown through dozens of books and we are starting to run out of new books for them to read.
I am hoping to restock my bookshelves with new and interesting books for my students, to encourage them to keep reading and explore new genres of books.
We also read an SEL book each morning. This is their favorite part of the day. With this project, we would be able to continue to read a new book each morning and discuss the particular social and emotional skill that is talked about in the book.
