Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income school district which was heavily flooded by Hurricane Harvey and Imelda many of my students face several challenges both in and out of the class. These last 2 years alone we have had to face challenges of COVID-19, but also evacuate and close school for Hurricane Laura and Delta. Kindergarten is such an exciting group of mixed interests, abilities, and goals. Some of my students are learning to read, write, and count. Our group loves hands on learning activities. My students are vibrant, courageous, and are the future leaders of America. My students smile every morning and are always ready to learn something new. They keep me on my toes. With the help of donors we can repair and gain where we lost. My kids deserve it!

My Project

My students love coming in to school in the morning and grabbing a morning tub! We let our students play with them for about 15 minutes in the morning while we wait for everyone to arrive and begin instruction.

Let's make these morning tubs the most engaging 15 minutes for my students!

I am looking to update my morning tubs and place some new manipulatives and exciting hands-on activities in these tubs. Morning bins get the kids excited and engaged before the instruction has even started. I would love to surprise these awesome students with brand new materials in the bins! Thanks so much!
