My Project
Like most typical middle schoolers, many of the students who come into my classroom view reading as a chore and, when given the choice, prefer to read a book with pictures. I see my students’ potential and want to push them to expand their reading horizons.
Over the years, I have found graphic novels to be the perfect gateway to help students transform from reluctant readers into can’t-put-the-book-down readers.
As I look forward to the next school year, I am hopeful for these books to help build up my classroom library with graphic novels. I cannot wait to see the students start to willingly pick up books and turn into the readers that I know they are.
