My Students

I just moved from NYC to Pennsylvania and will be working at a public school near the city of Pittsburgh. Our school has limited funding available. My new classroom has no furniture, supplies, or books for me to organize and have available for students to enjoy.

This year I will be teaching three classes of fourth graders Social Studies and Science.

We have a great Science Curriculum that has many online elements that I would like to explore with my students. However, due to limited budget constraints, we do not have the latest technology available at the school. We have one laptop cart available for all classes to share and it is always reserved.

I would like for my students to have access to technology at all times throughout the school day to explore science concepts and conduct experiments.

My Project

I am requesting an ELMO document camera to enhance the quality of viewing technology and teaching lessons in my classroom. The ELMO document camera will allow me to easily project lessons and student work for the entire class to see on the screen. Right now, we do not have smart boards so the ELMO document camera would allow me to at least project work and technology on the whiteboard.

In addition, the ELMO along with the Google Chromebook will enable me to switch between the online videos and resources using the science curriculum.

Students will be able to complete assignments in Google Classroom and have better access to technology which is limited in our school.
