We Love CVC!

Help me give my students manipulatives and word building cards to practice reading and spelling CVC words!

My Project

Many of my students have mastered the alphabet and letter sounds and are ready to practice reading and spelling simple CVC words. This practice will be their first experience with real reading by decoding simple words, sound by sound.

These CVC word-building cards with letter blocks, CVC objects, play-dough, and CVC read & match activities will give my students hands-on practice with reading, spelling, and writing CVC words!

Research shows that multi-sensory practice with letters, sounds, and words supports stronger reading skills and connections between letters and sounds in the brain. By manipulating and building CVC words with blocks, play-dough, and other materials, my students will have the opportunity to use that multi-sensory practice!
