We Love Coding With Our BFF Botley

My students need Botley coding robot sets so that they can take their love of coding into a 3D dimension.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are some of the hardest working students in our school district. I teach Resource Special Education classes and I also teach in our school’s free after school program. I teach two separate afterschool classes of 4th grade students.

Over 65% of my students are English Language Learners– many of these students are still learning how to speak English.

Our school has the highest Hispanic population in the state. Our school also qualifies as a Title One School: over 85% of our students live in poverty and receive free/reduced lunch. Despite all of these obstacles, these students are eager to come to school each day.

They always try their best and never give up when they face hardships. The students at this school are really special, and their enthusiasm and willingness to learn make teaching them such a joy.

My Project

My students love to code! They have done several different coding activities in the past. These Botley robots would allow them to combine their love for coding with robots.

Botley is an innovative coding robot that kids of all ages can use to problem solve.

My after-school students (including Special Education students) would have fun with the various STEM activities these robot kids offer.

These kits allow the students to explore and learn on their own level- increasing the difficulty as they are ready for it. Technology is so important in our everyday lives. My hope is to instill a love for technology and coding in my students. Learning how to code with robots would open up a world of job possibilities for them as they get older. Your donations could really impact their futures.
