Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The story books, sketch books and coloring books will provide some entertainment to my students as well as their families during their most stressful time at the hospital.

My goals with these books is to give my students and the familles the normalcy during their stay here at the hospital.

My students and their families are special because they have to be at the hospital from one week to months. My students have complex medical needs, which can cause deep feelings of isolation and lonliness.

Bringing them picture books, story books, coloring books, sketch pads and word searches...will help them pass the time while they are here. I have also requested some guided reading books so that as they are here I can provide bedside lessons for both reading and math.

My students and families are always very grateful when I provide books that cater to the their likes, development needs as well as their interests.
