This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a wonderfully diverse group of students who are incredibly creative and love visual arts. The kids in my class are incredibly imaginative and know how to put the "A" in STEAM and are only limited by their lack of access to materials. Throughout the year my students study various artists such as Henri Matisse, Georgia O'Keefe, and Jackson Pollack, and then learn to create using learned mediums and art processes. It is wonderful to witness my students expressing themselves through the visual arts and even more wonderful to see how pleased they are with their creations. These materials will help my students build on a life-long love of art!
