My Students

Hear ye! Hear ye! Nothing beats listening to someone read to you!

My students are 4 and 5 years old and in an ESL Michigan kindergarten.

We are a classroom full of children enthusiastic to learn and grow as readers!! Most of the children receive free lunch and many do not have anyone at home who can read to them. Supporting our project will give EVERY child a chance to hear a good book!

My Project

For my project, I am requesting materials to use as the "Listening to Reading" part of our new literacy framework, The Daily 5. We would like to request 3 Tag Reader Systems for use during literacy time. We would also like to have donated several copies of our favorite books to go along with our new Tag Readers!

This project will foster a LOVE for reading!

The children will truly enjoy the art of reading and in turn grow as readers. By supporting this project, the children in my class an I will be forever grateful!
