I have an amazing class of seventeen active and ambitious first graders who come from very diverse backgrounds. My students are always eager to learn and love coming to school. I feel we have had a tight bond and we are like family! We are always learning to be kind and compassionate learners! We work hard and get a lot of things accomplished during our day! They are very active so it helps to include lots of movement throughout the day!
My Project
Wiggle stools allow my students to move while learning and creating! We were given a few stools earlier this year and they have made such a big difference with student engagement! I am trying to get more so that we have more options for more students! They allow movement while completing work without disruption. They are able to get their wiggles out while not disrupting other classmates. I feel that the stools we have already have made a big difference with disruptions and behavior. The students are not bored and stuck sitting without any movement. I really feel these wiggle stools help my students focus!
