My students need various seating options: balance ball chairs, wobble seats, stools, bean bags, and an area rug to make an inviting classroom environment!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students absolutely love to learn. We have already been inspired to learn about other cultures and give to others who have less. Given the background my students have, this is an amazing feat.
My students come from poverty themselves and often have worries no child should have.
These outside worries can carry over into class and make it difficult to focus. I want to provide my students with the best environment possible so they can be well rounded citizens.
My Project
Flexible seating options, balance ball, wobble chairs and bean bag chairs, will be an exciting addition to our classroom. With all of these choices, our classroom will become a comfortable and safe environment so we can our use our learning time in the best way possible. Lets be honest, these seating options are way more exciting than regular classroom seats!
Flexible seating will provide my students with an opportunity to sit comfortably around the classroom and discover where they will learn best.
My students will have the opportunity to select the working condition that best support their learning style and need for movement. These options will allow my students to take initiative and prepare them for real-life situations. I can't wait to see all of the positive changes our classroom will have because of these flexible seating options.
