Help me give my students more options on the playground! My students would LOVE new building materials, balance activities, and jumbo magnifying glasses to help them explore while outside.

My Students
You know you have a fun classroom when you and your students sing part of the Mickey Mouse March as your attention-getting signal. My classroom focuses on instilling a love for learning as well as an understanding of the magic of imagination.
My 25 little Keffergarteners love our Disney themed classroom and love to come to school each day because of it.
I teach a group of fun-loving, creative, and caring students who exhibit perseverance on a daily basis. I am blessed to have the opportunity to lay the foundation of a love of learning and zest for life each time my Kindergarteners walk through my door. My class loves to share things from home with each other, share their ideas about their learning, dance, and sing, and just be together.
My students come from diverse backgrounds and have a range of experiences to share with their classmates. Many of my students are English Language Learners, meaning another language is spoken in the home. There are multiple languages spoken in our classroom and students love to teach each other how to say things in their home language. Their hearts and minds amaze me daily.
My Project
My students love to play outside...but Covid is getting in the way of that! We have a basic playground - black top, play structure, hula hoops, and trikes. In years past, this has been enough to keep the kids active and happy at recess. Since our students now have to play separately from other classes, my students often have to play on a nearby grass area and we don't have much for them to play with.
My class loves to run, jump, challenge themselves (and each other), and explore!
The lack of available activities during our grass area play time is leading to an increase in recess conflicts and more and more kids sitting instead of playing. Our "recess blues" are starting to work their way into the classroom. The transition from play time to learning time is starting to take longer, the kids are getting more squirrely, and they're having a hard time keeping their focus. These new and exciting recess options--new building materials, balance activities, and jumbo magnifying glasses--will help my students keep busy and active at recess, get their wiggles out, and prepare us for learning time by getting us ready to focus!
