My Students
My students are in kindergarten and are 5-6 years old. They are young and excited to learn at school. They come in every day ready to learn something new. They learn best through hands-on experiences. I want to provide my students with the best possible learning experience that I can. Our Title I school is located in a small town. It is a wonderful school to be a part of. Students come in and are welcomed by school members who want to help them succeed.
My Project
My students are kindergarteners and love to be able to move around. They are young and full of life. They want to have more ways to be able to move around the classroom while learning. My students want to have more flexible seating options for everyone in the class. The stability balls will allow for all students in our class to have a seat that will allow them to move while learning. These seats will also help teach them how to have correct posture.
My students need to have multiple brain breaks throughout the day.
They will be able to use the stability balls during our yoga brain breaks. My students want also learn new brain breaks. The fitness CDs will be used as a brain break. These CDs will give my students a break and will get them moving. The carpet will provide my students with an area that is soft for them to do the fitness CDs. My students love to play. We need to have healthy food options in our house center.
This project will help my students have flexible seating in our class. My students will want to have a place where they can store their own class supplies and notebooks. The storage shelf will provide each of my students with their own spot to store their things in. My students will be moving around the classroom a lot while they are learning. They will want to have clip boards to be able to write things down on. This project will help my students learn new ways to keep moving and will provide my students with the resources they need to be able to move and learn during class.
