My students need wobble chairs to provide flexible seating options to help meet their various learning styles.

My Students

"My Kindergarten students are active, curious learners whose brains and bodies need frequent breaks to maximize their learning. Their bodies are in constant motion which can often provide challenges in a classroom environment.

It is my hope that by providing flexible seating options, my students will be able to find a seating option that best fits their learning styles.

In the words of Henry David Thoreau: " Me thinks that the minute my legs begin to move, my thoughts begin to flow..."

My Project

My students are active five and six year old boys and girls that find sitting for very long a challenge.They have grown up in a fast-paced world full of visual stimulation.

Brain research shows that physical activity- moving, stretching, and walking - can actually enhance the learning process (Eric Jensen).

In a traditional classroom environment of tables and chairs it is often frustrating for students to find a place to work that provides them with the movement their bodies need.

I would have the wobble chairs as an alternative seating option for my students that need extra movement to stimulate and maintain the learning process.
