Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class is a place where exploring and discovery occurs. I strive every day to make my classroom a place where my students feel welcomed, encouraged, and loved. This is where they spend most of their time and I want to make it a place where they can meet their needs by staying engaged.
Students should have the ability to choose where and how they work best.
My students are a group of diverse learners that are very active! I would like to provide them with the tools they need to stay focused in the classroom.
My Project
Flexible seating provides students with independence in their learning. I want my students to be able to work productively by providing them with what they need to do so. I don't want my students to feel like they have to sit all day long to be productive. I wouldn't want to sit for 8 hours every day, so I don't expect my kids to either!
Flexible seating like the requested stools, cushions, and pillows will let my students take charge of their learning by giving them choices.
With your help, we will be able to provide my kids the chance to work independently, while staying on task in the classroom.
