My Project
I am a math focus teacher in elementary school, which means I teach math to students in grades K-5. Math fluency is necessary to be able to apply concept knowledge and successfully complete math computation. Knowledge of basic facts in elementary school plays a major role in future success in math. My students love to quiz each other and make a game out of practicing their basic facts. We devote time each week to practice basic facts, and as the students become more accurate and efficient, their confidence grows. This basic facts pack includes cards that can be used for all grade levels. I use the post it’s to leave messages for students, sometimes words of encouragement, praise, and next steps. I am asking you to help my students grow in math and be prepared for the challenges that ahead.
