My Students

The students in my class face several challenges both in and out of the classroom as our school is located in a high-poverty neighborhood. Despite any challenges they may face, my hope is that in our school, we provide high-quality and meaningful learning experiences.

The goal is for students to be excited to come to school every day and to be consistently and actively engaged.

Creating a classroom that is welcoming and comfortable for students is a major priority.

My Project

I can honestly say the group of students I have this year are so excited to read independently on a daily basis. They are so motivated and it is helping them grow academically.

These high interest chapter books would give them new texts within our classroom library to keep the excitement going.

I love that they are passionate about reading and I want to help them continue this passion for the remainder of the school year. Having high interest texts are so key to creating life long readers. They deserve this opportunity.
