As a New York City Public School teacher responsible for approximately 350 students each week, I am dedicated to providing a meaningful and engaging educational experience. However, the $250 allocated annually for classroom technology, resources, and supplies is quickly depleted, especially considering the needs of my diverse classroom. This year, I have the exciting opportunity to teach English as a New Language (ENL) through visual arts. In this innovative approach, my students explore famous artworks, engage in discussions, and create their own art inspired by what they have learned. This method not only enhances their language skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking but also fosters their creativity.
Despite the enthusiasm and potential of this program, the demand for basic classroom supplies, such as tissues, paper towels, baby wipes, disinfecting wipes, and spray, is significant.
These supplies are crucial for maintaining a productive and hygienic learning environment, and ensuring that students have the materials they need to participate in their artistic and educational journey fully.
Your generous donation would directly impact my students' ability to engage with the curriculum and express their creativity. It would enable me to continue providing a vibrant, resource-rich environment that inspires and motivates them each day. I deeply appreciate your consideration of this request and your support in making this vision a reality. Your contribution will make a profound difference in the lives of my students. Thank you for your generosity and commitment to enhancing educational opportunities.
