Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach in a high-poverty area where most students do not attend preschool. My classroom is often their first educational experience and I love to make it engaging and fun so they are always eager to come to school.
My students LOVE to create charts to organize new information!
I am requesting an adjustable magnetic chart stand and some jumbo magnetic letters. We will use the stand to create and display our charts and thinking maps on the various topics e learn about throughout the year. The thing I love most about the chart stand is that I can adjust it all the way down to the floor where my students can really access it for their writing! We will use the magnetic letters for many activities from simple phonics to segmenting and blending words.
