My students are unique in their strengths and challenges, it is my job as their teacher to make sure they have every opportunity to be successful. My students love to learn and share what they are learning with their peers. Our school is located in the heart of Coney Island, a place where people come to enjoy the sun, sand, and amusement parks. We are a Title I school and 100% of our student body receives free breakfast and lunch.
Our classroom, their home away from home, is a place where I want my students to feel excited about learning and having what they need to be successful!
Each child should have the necessary tools for the school year without the fear of not having the tools for success. I am so lucky and thankful to have the opportunity to teach and grow with my new 2nd graders.
My Project
We all know how frustrating it is not to have the materials to help our students feel successful. Not being able to do research, practice our math facts, improve our English Language Arts and writing skills becomes very frustrating. These tablets will help us achieve this goal. We will be able to access a ton of apps and games that will provide practice, enrichment, and just a lot of fun as we learn to navigate the internet.
Hands-on technology is so important.
It is so important in our world today, and it is also engaging our students, many into a world they have never been.
The coding books will help my students learn and understand the instructions that a computer follows to complete a task. They are all eager to learn to code. The toner is for our printer we have in our classroom that we are unable to use because we can't print.
